GummySearch alternatives: an honest comparison

GummySearch closed new signups on November 30, 2025 and shuts down on December 1, 2026. An honest split of alternatives for research, alerts, and Reddit replies, including Weald.

GummySearch's founder published the timeline. New signups and renewals stopped on November 30, 2025. Paid customers keep access until that billing period ends. On December 1, 2026 the service shuts down and user data is deleted.

Nothing replaces the whole product. GummySearch was research-first: subreddit discovery, audience insights, and conversation search. Posting was not the center. Match the alternative to the job you actually used it for.

Community discovery

Reddit Pro is the official free option if you are an eligible business in an English-speaking country. Trends shows posts, comments, and communities for the keywords you track, with no published keyword cap. Some terms get conversation volume and an AI theme summary. It also measures your own organic posts. It will not draft a reply.

If you still have a paid GummySearch login, use it for historical audience work until your billing period ends, and download what you need before December 1, 2026.

Keyword alerts

F5Bot emails keyword matches on Reddit, Hacker News, and Lobsters. The free tier is genuinely useful, and ranking the thread is still your job. Details are on the F5Bot comparison.

KWatch.io watches Reddit and Hacker News on a free plan (2 alerts each) and adds X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook on paid plans from $19/month, with sentiment from Essential up. Syften is the alert-first option when the list of communities goes beyond Reddit and you want AI filtering on the stream. Neither product writes the reply for you.

Daily replies, which is what Weald is for

Weald scores live Reddit threads from 1 to 10 against your ICP, drafts in your voice, and files brand mentions with sentiment. You send every reply. The paid plan covers up to 5 subreddits, 5 scan phrases, 10 scans a day, and 250 drafts a month. $49/month ($1 for 7 days, cancel any time).

Weald is a poor replacement if you wanted a research archive. 5 subreddit targets and 5 scan phrases will feel small next to GummySearch's audience maps. It is also the wrong tool if Hacker News or X has to live in the same inbox. Keep an alert product for that, and use Weald only for the Reddit replies.

Listening suites, and tools that send for you

If the real requirement is news, reviews, and many social networks, look at Awario, or at the Mention and Octolens comparisons. Those are measurement products. They are a weak swap for a founder who used GummySearch to decide where to comment.

If you want software to send DMs or post on your behalf, that is a different category from GummySearch and from Weald. The Leadverse and ReplyHey comparisons cover that boundary. Weald never sends.

Pick something other than Weald if…

  • You only need a free keyword email. Start with F5Bot.
  • You want Reddit's own trend and post analytics, and you can get into Reddit Pro.
  • You need many networks in real time. KWatch, Syften, or a listening suite is closer.
  • You still have GummySearch access and the work is historical research until the shutdown date.

Questions

Has GummySearch already shut down?
New signups closed on November 30, 2025. The founder said existing paid access continues until the billing period ends, and the whole service shuts down on December 1, 2026, when user data is deleted.
What is the closest GummySearch alternative?
There isn't one product. Community discovery is closest to Reddit Pro, or to GummySearch itself while you still have access. Alerts are closest to F5Bot or KWatch. Daily replies are what Weald is for.
Should I stay until December 2026?
If you already paid through that date, use the access and download anything you need. The founder said renewals are closed.
